Spa Carré Saint-Louis.

A new spa in Plateau Mont-Royal needed photography that matched what the space felt like in person. We directed and shot the visual content that anchored the digital launch across social, press, and paid channels, helping generate over 790,000 organic impressions in nine months.

The Client

(01)

A new spa in Plateau Mont-Royal with hammam mosaics, a glass sauna, and a rooftop terrace overlooking one of Montreal's most storied squares. The space was designed to slow people down. But a spa that feels like a sanctuary in person still needs photographs that carry that feeling before anyone walks through the door.

What Was at Stake

The agency behind the spa's digital launch brought us in to shoot. They sent a brand guide and a short shot list for the lifestyle session, with a note not to limit ourselves if we saw opportunities.

We shot in two passes. The first was the space on its own, before any talent arrived. Mosaic light inside the hammam. Steam catching the edge of a doorway. The rooftop at the hour when the city starts to quiet down. Every frame was composed to feel like a pause, not a tour. The second session brought figurants into the environment to capture the massage and thermal experience. The shot list covered the basics. We expanded it based on what the space gave us, directing moments the list had not anticipated. Both sessions were built to work together so the campaign could move between atmosphere and human presence without breaking tone.

The campaign built on these images generated over 790,000 organic impressions in the first nine months and earned coverage on Noovo. The content helped the spa grow to nearly 9,000 Instagram followers from zero, with an engagement rate above 16 percent.
